Drilling
Contract farming is always undertaken to the highest standard. All cultivations and field operations are carried out to optimise the financial return for both parties. We work hand to hand with agronomists to ensure the soil is kept in good health with regular analysis and the subsequent application of nutrients to match.
We strive for a close working relationshiop with our Landowners. Trust between both parties is of paramount importance to us. As with all contract farming agreements we supply all the labour and machinery, with the Landowner supplying the land. The variable costs are shared, with the financial surplus of the year divided between the parties as agreed.
We utilise the latest Vaderstad drill to establish all of our crops.
Services
Cultivations are carried out predominately with a Vaderstad TopDown stubble cultivator. This mixes the surface trash into the soil with front discs, whilst legs cultivate down to a maximum of 300mm.
Our philpsophy to spraying is to ensure the crops we grow are to the highest quality, for the optimum yield whilst following all crop assurance protocols and the highest standards of integrated crop management. This approach minimises the total amount of agrochemicals applied to the crops.
Spraying
We run two Claas 770 Lexion Terra Trac combines to ensure that when it comes to harvest we are on the ground when and where they are needed. Often running both together to create a smooth, stress free harvest at the most crucial point in the year.
